Bangkok is a traveler’s paradise. What began as a lesser-known destination has grown to be a favorite place for backpackers. People from all over flock to Bangkok to enjoy a great experience at a low cost.
Start your day at the Mahraj Pier. There’s plenty to see in Bangkok, so pack a light snack and start exploring. The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo are located here. Seeing both these attractions will cost around $15. If possible, hire a guide to explain everything inside.
Keep up the temple visits with a trip to Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Together the entrance fees will be around $5. Both temples are gorgeous and worth exploring. They house famous displays of art and culture. Walking through the temples is a great way to learn more about Thailand and the culture.
Stop for a quick lunch at the The Deck by Arun Residence. This spot is highly recommended by visitors to the area for its authentic Thai dishes. They also offer Western options, but the best is the Thai food.
Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Bangkok and shopping. There are hundreds of stores to choose from and many are interesting enough for a quick walk. Walking around Bangkok is an experience within itself because of the intensity of the city.
Grab some food at May Veggie Home, which offers many vegan and vegetarian dishes. The food is amazing and will leave you stuffed after a long day exploring temples and Bangkok.
