Under $100 / Europe

Located in southern Poland, Krakow blends the old with the new. There are plenty of cultural and historic attractions to experience in the city on less than $100 per day.

Start your day at Loza Café. Located in the city’s Old Town, the restaurant offers beautiful views of the historic center alongside Polish breakfast classics. Breakfast costs about $10. Spend some time exploring the city’s trendy Kazimierz neighborhood. The area was considered the Jewish Quarter through World War II, when the Polish Jews were forced out. Today, the neighborhood is full of shops, galleries, cafés and bars.

Stop at Restauracja Pod Baranem for the lunch special. The restaurant specializes in Polish cuisine, with other European influences. Spend less than $10 on lunch. Visit Wawel Castle. One of the largest in Poland, the castle features various European architectural styles. Built in the 13th and 14th centuries, the castle is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Prices vary by exhibit and season, but range about $1–7 per person. Check the website before your visit for exact pricing.

Have dinner at Restauracja Stylowa. The traditional Polish restaurant has served clientele since the 1950s. Dinner costs about $20.

Download the city’s mobile app for more information about events, public transportation and city maps.
