Located in the former Wichita Municipal Airport terminal, the Kansas Aviation Museum celebrates the history of aviation and is home to several aircraft displays. Adult admission costs $9.50. The museum is closed on Mondays. Grab lunch and some brews at Wichita Brewing Company & Pizzeria . The brewery and pizza joint has two locations. Choose from more than two dozen artisan pizzas. If you visit during the week, take advantage of the lunch special: lunch-sized pizza plus a side for $8. The special is available Monday–Friday, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Explore nature and wildlife in the heart of Wichita at the Great Plains Nature Center. Explore the nature trails and wildlife observatory. Admission is free. Next, make your way to the Old Town neighborhood. Explore the many unique shops and galleries.
End your night with dinner at Public at the Brickyard in Old Town. The restaurant boasts a farm-to-table concept, highlighting local and seasonal ingredients. Entrees start at $13. The restaurant is located next to the city’s largest outdoor live music venue, The Brickyard. Stay for some tunes after your meal.
