Trends / Sustainability

Traveling sustainably is becoming more and more of a concern for many frequent travelers. Luckily, in order to travel sustainably, you don’t need to necessarily give up your luxurious tastes. There are many hotels where the two — sustainability and luxury — coexist.

At Paradero Todos Santos, a new luxury hotel in Baja, Mexico, for example, all of the on-property activities are designed with sustainability in mind. Take a sustainable farming class or take a cooking class and use ingredients grown on property. You can also hike through UNESCO-protected biosphere preserves.

Mount Nelson

The Belmond brand is known for its luxury, and at the Cape Town-located Mount Nelson property, you can experience both luxury and sustainability as you enjoy on-property activities such as sunset hikes through one of the most biologically diverse regions on the planet, or snorkeling excursions that include guidance from a shark scientist.
