Siesta Key

Despite the popular tv show of the same name that features partying, drama and more, Siesta Key is one of the top beach destinations in Florida. Located in Sarasota, this town offers white-sand beaches and turquoise-blue waters. Spend the day at the beach and then head to Daiquiri Deck for great drinks and a delicious meal.

Clearwater

Clearwater Beach is another popular beach town in Florida. Clearwater’s pristine, white-sand beaches lead up to the Gulf of Mexico. Hit the beach during the day for relaxation, sun and fun. Make sure to stop by Clearwater Marine Aquarium to see Winter the dolphin who has a prosthetic tail and is the star of the movie Dolphin Tale.

Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach is a nice little town in Florida with beautiful beaches and tons of activities. Take surf lessons in the morning then relax on the beach during the day. Head to Cape Canaveral to explore Kennedy Space Center, then head back to Cocoa Beach for the world’s largest surf shop, Ron Jon’s.

Pensacola Beach

Pensacola Beach flies under the radar when talking about beach towns in Florida. The white beaches and crystal-clear waters draw visitors. Spend the day relaxing on the beach or partaking in various water sports, either way you are bound to have a good day. At night, head downtown to enjoy dinner, shopping, history and more.

St. Augustine

St. Augustine is one of the nation’s oldest cities and is filled with a ton of history and beautiful beaches; you can’t go wrong with a visit. Spend the morning at the beach and then head off to explore. First stop at the Fountain of Youth and drink from the famous springs, then visit Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States.
