Saint Bavo’s Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral built between the 13th and 16th centuries. At 292 feet tall, the cathedral defines the skyline. Inside, it houses the well-known Ghent Altarpiece by Jan van Eyck. Geeraard de Duivelsteen, better known as Geeraard the Devil Castle, is a 13th-century defensive structure in Ghent’s port, named after a knight of the same name.
