Traveling alone as a woman can be an intimidating endeavor for most novice travelers. Even experienced travelers have to keep their guard up when traversing the world solo. But a decades-old female-focused travel agency aims to make travel a more enjoyable, and even empowering, activity for women all over the world.
AdventureWomen is an all-female-operated travel agency (run by a mother and daughter) that curates trips only for women. Its female-only tours are available year-round in more than 30 countries and bring women with like-minded interests together in new environments, encouraging them to grow through new activities or simply go at their own pace.
Some of the itineraries are slightly more challenging and adventurous, such as a cruise around Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands; hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru; or climbing to Everest Base Camp.
With a goal of transformational travel, AdventureWomen hopes to nudge women out of their comfort zones and allow them to learn something new about themselves while fostering bonds with other women travelers.
The trips are open to women of all ages, and AdventureWomen plans to add about five new trips every year. In 2020, new itineraries will include Oman, Ladakh (India), Thailand, Laos, Uganda and the Dolomites in Italy.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is the largest airline in Japan. With flights from the United States to Japan and all of Asia, it's the perfect airline to book your next trip with. From ANA's amazing in-flight food to its excellent customer service, it comes as no surprise ANA has been awarded five stars for its seventh consecutive year by the SKYTRAX World Airline Rating.
