Aeromexico, JFK–CUN

On a recent trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, I had the pleasure of flying Aeromexico’s Clase Premier from New York (JFK) to Cancun (CUN), and it was the perfect way to kick off my trip.

Upon entering the aircraft, fresh-squeezed orange juice welcomed me onboard. The seats were spacious with all the legroom I could possibly need. The cabin’s seats are arranged 2-2, but spacious enough I was able to move in and out of my seat without disrupting the person next to me. The seats were equipped with outlets, large screens, footrests and ample workspace. Fast WiFi was available for the duration of the flight, and the on-board entertainment options were extensive.

As I flew in the morning, a complimentary breakfast was offered. The meal included was a mushroom omelet, served with fresh fruit and a roasted tomato. It was delicious and fresh. While I personally don’t have dietary restrictions, I heard others raving about the gluten-free and vegan food options. Our flight was short, but on longer-haul flights, Aeromexico’s Clase Premier customers have access to a full-service bar with complimentary wine, beer and liquor. The attendants throughout the flight were friendly and helpful.

The flight from New York to Cancun is just more than three hours, but I could have easily enjoyed a much longer flight.
