Amika has made a name for itself in the travel space as a brand that delivers quality products for the world traveler. The Travel section online lists a wide variety of pocket-sized hair styling products that are both functional and fashionable.

One of those products is the Perk Up dry shampoo, which markets itself as the closest thing to washing your hair without water. The talc-free cleanser uses rice starch to absorb oil and freshen hair. This means no white residue hanging around your scalp. At only 1 ounce, it’s the perfect travel companion for days when the promise of exploring a new city lures you away from your hotel room shower.

Perk Up was awarded the dry shampoo award winner for Beauty Launchpad’s Readers Choice Awards 2017: Haircare. The formula is free of sulfates, parabens, oil, petrochemicals and artificial colors and is cruelty-free. The 1-ounce travel bottle is $10.

The brand also carries a volume texturizing spray, anti-humidity spray, styling cream and dry conditioner to go along with your travel-sized hair care products — each for only $10. Even if you don’t have a trip coming up, this is still a great way to test out new products to see which of the larger bottles you would like to buy.

Bitter Cocktail Bar, Barcelona

Barcelona has seen a recent influx of craft cocktails bars within the past five years or so, and Sant Antoni seems to be one of the city’s epicenters of such swanky watering holes. Amid the crisscross streets, organic grocery stores and the soon-to-open, recently renovated Sant Antoni market is Bitter, an inconspicuous cocktail bar where there’s more than meets the eye.
