Ostrich are uniquely entertaining creatures and nowhere is this more evident than the annual Arizona Ostrich Festival in Chandler, Ariz. These majestic birds converge on the city each year around March to partake in one of the wildest races on Earth.
The insane ostrich race isn’t the only event at the festival, however. In addition, you can enjoy pig races, K9 competitions and even some good, old-fashioned Wild West shows. There’s also a pretty spectacular aerial show courtesy of i-Flip. Water lovers will enjoy the epic diving performances put on by the Milord Entertainment group.
Like every good festival, there’s a plethora of carnival rides to enjoy including coasters, Ferris wheels and even a zombie carnival. Those things are all the rage these days.
Throw a couple dozen musical performances on top and you have one of the most exciting, distinctive and flat-out entertaining festivals in the entire country. If you’ve got little ones in tow it’s definitely worth checking out. Even adults find this particular experience highly amusing.
General admission to the festival is $10 for adults and $7 for children, with little ones under five getting in free. If you’re in the area in March it’s definitely worth a look.
