Australian adventure travel company Aurora Expeditions announced new treks in Patagonia: Patagonia Discovery Trek and Torres Del Paine Explorer. The first voyage sets sail Nov. 19.
The new 10-day itineraries bring guests to the Patagonian wilderness, experiencing the region’s mountain ranges, valleys, rivers, lakes and glaciers.
“Our highly experienced team has curated several fascinating treks in Patagonia, showcasing the region’s little-explored corners ensuring our travelers see incredible locations and experience nature at its finest,” said Michael Heath, CEO, Aurora Expeditions. “Many of our Antarctic passengers wish to extend their time in the South American region and these new itineraries are designed to make the most of their schedule.”
The Torres Del Paine Explorer tour stays within the Chilean border. Travelers spend four full days hiking with a local guide, taking in Torres del Paine National Park. The next part of the itinerary brings travelers to Ascencio Valley for more hiking and wildlife viewing.
Patagonia Discovery Trek offers travelers three options: an Argentinian return trip, an Argentina-to-Chile itinerary or a Chile-to-Argentina itinerary. Travelers explore Los Glaciares and Torres del Paine and visit Perito Moreno Glacier.
Each guided trek starts at $5,145 per person. Pricing includes nightly accommodations, most meals, private ground transport, guide fees and national park entrance fees. There is a maximum of 20 hikers per tour.
