The Poles are famous for their ability to hold their liquor, which comes as no surprise when you see how many watering holes are in Warsaw. If you’re looking for spot to whet your appetite, check out these incredible bars.
Piw Paw is arguably the most popular destination for beer in Warsaw, and maybe Poland. The bar boasts nearly 100 varieties of beer on tap and 200 more in bottles. It has one of, if not the, largest selections in the country and they offer samples of all of them, alongside cider straight from the barrel.
Plan B offers one of the more vibrant party atmospheres in the city, with a large deck and decent selection of DJs. The décor is simple and the drinks straightforward — and cheap! — so it’s easy to see why it’s popular among a younger crowd.
Looking for something a bit more laidback? Check out Klar, a popular vodka bar that infuses its drinks with a wide variety of spices, fruit and other ingredients. They also offer an impressive array of sandwiches and wraps, but space is limited and the bar is often packed.
Pijana Wisnia
Pijana Wisnia stands out from the pack due to its unique concept — they only serve one drink. The cherry liqueur found lining the wall is an ingredient in everything at this bar, from the cherries to the chocolates. Sample a few shots and take a few home for friends — it’s so popular they even sell it outside on the streets to avoid a line.
