Summertime is the season of grilling. People dust off the cobwebs from the grills and fire them up for a fun season of grilled food. There are so many different foods to cook on a grill, but some can’t be missed. Grilling food gives it a new flavor that a simple oven or frying pan can’t achieve. Food from the grill is flavorful and fun to cook.

Honestly, what doesn’t taste good grilled? From chicken to vegetables, almost any food can be grilled and there’s something about the flavor a grill brings out in food that makes it irresistible. One of the best foods to grill is corn. Grilling corn makes it more flavorful and gives it a kick. Grilled corn is also a wonderful addition to many meals as a side dish. It’s a popular food around the world, often cooked by street vendors.

Meat of any kind reacts well to a grill. Whether it’s chicken, steak or beef, grilled meats are delicious. The grill makes the meat savory. It’s hard to beat a perfectly grilled steak and an ice-cold beer on a beautiful summer day. For grilling, use steaks that are thicker and juicer so the steak stays juicy throughout the cooking time. Everyone likes steak done a certain way, but no one can go wrong when pulling out the grill to cook one.

European Commission Outlines Plan to Reopen Europe

People need a “chance to get some well-needed rest, relaxation and fresh air.” This is a sentiment we all likely share, as does the European Commission, the executive branch of the European Union. The EC included that phrase when it released its plan to help reopen Europe following the COVID-19 global pandemic. While most EU borders remain closed to international travel until at least mid-June, the EC’s plan starts with inter-Europe travel, and are non-binding recommendations and guidelines. European countries still have the final decision, so travelers are advised to check the restrictions of the countries they plan to visit. According to the EC, “blanket restrictions of free movement are replaced by targeted measures.”
