Planning a summer honeymoon can be a tricky feat. In many destinations, it’s high season for vacations. It’s also the beginning of Atlantic hurricane season. If you’re going on your honeymoon during the summer months, check out our suggestions for the best destinations.
Seattle
The weather in Seattle is best during the summer months. Unfortunately, many tourists take this time to visit the city. To take advantage of the beautiful weather with fewer crowds, opt for early summer (May or June) or late summer (early September).
Switzerland
The beautiful central European country is home to the Alps mountain range, lakes and quaint villages. Many travelers visit during the colder winter months to take advantage of skiing opportunities. Visiting in the off season of summer is a great idea for honeymooners.
Great Britain
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are beautiful during the summer months and ideal for outdoor activities.
Kenya
Take a safari in Kenya for your honeymoon. The dry season lasts late June–October, and offers prime wildlife viewing.
Argentina
Many countries in South America experience winters during months typically considered summer in North America. July and August in Argentina are cool and crisp. Go on some winery tours in the large wine-producing country.
Australia
May–September is winter in Australia. Travel Down Under during those months to take advantage of cheaper airfare and fewer crowds.
