Learn more about the history of Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood with the virtual exhibit “The Rise of Black Glenville.” The exhibit delves into the neighborhood’s significance to the Civil Rights Movement.
Check out local murals and art installations throughout the city. More than 20 artists contributed to the “Black Lives Matter Street Mural” on East 93rd Street, with each artist taking a letter to honor Black culture in Cleveland. Originally displayed at Public Square, the “Protest” art installation is now housed at Cleveland Public Library Langston Hughes Branch. Created by Nigerian-born artist Olalekan ‘Lek’ Jeyifous, the work depicts individuals engaged in various forms of protest.
