Baguio City offers a wealth of wonderful restaurants to choose from on a budget. Whether you’re looking for something traditional or are in the mood for international cuisine, the chefs in this town have you covered.

Good Taste Cafe & Restaurant

Good Taste is a double whammy of excellent food and incredible prices. The tiny Chinese restaurant boasts a whopping 6,000 reviews on Google, all of them well-earned. The fried rice is the local favorite and will only set you back a few bucks.

50s Diner

50s Diner seems like an odd choice to visit while traveling, but the array of food offered here spans the entire world. The 1950s theme is mostly just a collection of posters for mid-1900s icons, but the food portions are huge and the European schnitzel is worth a visit alone. Head in the morning for the pancake tower meal, but avoid stopping by on the weekends or you’ll wait for two hours.

Oh My Gulay

Oh My Gulay is for veggie lovers everywhere. The 1960s decor is a bit outdated, but it does make you feel instantly at home. Inside you’ll find a delightful menu full of healthy vegetarian dishes seasoned just right. It’s also home to an artist café that holds exhibits for you to explore after you eat.

The Farmer’s Daughter is a bit outside of city limits — in fact, it’s just near Tam-awan Village so it’s a perfect stop after learning about the Cordilleran people. It’s the only place around to taste truly authentic Igorot cuisine, and plates here are exceptionally affordable. Be adventurous and try the pinuneg (blood sausage) for a delightful surprise.
