Just a few hours from the Ohio border, Pittsburgh has a ton to offer travelers who need to see and do a ton on a limited budget.

First thing in the morning, go to Pamela’s Diner for breakfast. Be aware this staple is cash-only, but the selection and quality of the menu more than make up for it. The entire menu is tasty and worth trying, but the most famous item is the crepe-style pancakes. You can eat at this diner for less than $10.

After breakfast, do some sightseeing. Pittsburgh is home to a few incredible museums, but the must-see is The Andy Warhol Museum. This is the biggest museum in the world dedicated to a single artist. It costs $20 for adults.

For lunch, check out Tessaro’s American Bar and Hardwood Grill. This is a great, laid-back eatery where you can get a truly Pittsburgh-inspired meal. The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, starters and more. Expect to pay less than $20.

After lunch, go to Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The gardens house some truly rare and breathtaking plants. You can easily spend the afternoon here. Admission is less than $20.

For dinner, go to Butcher and the Rye. Make a reservation at this hip restaurant to make sure you can get a seat. The menu spans a number of options. You can eat for less than $30.
