This lovely brunch spot lies 30 minutes outside downtown Victoria and features a full breakfast and brunch menu. In addition to the classics, The Roost offers a variety of freshly made pastries and other baked goods to take home. One of its most popular pastries, the cinnamon bun, goes fast. In the spring weather, grab a seat in the eatery’s secret garden.

Floyd’s Diner

Head to this diner and try some of the eatery’s unique and tasty brunch options. In addition to classic brunch dishes like omelets, French toast, pancakes, hashes and crepes, Floyd’s Diner invites more adventurous eaters to try its Laban Pittman Johnson, including 6 strips of the diner’s signature bacon paired with a Lucky beer and shot of Jack Daniels. Or opt for The Mahoney, a dish concocted by whatever the kitchen feels like making. You can even flip a coin for this dish and potentially enjoy the meal for free!

Blue Fox Café

Eggs benedict lovers must not miss out on Blue Fox Café with its 10 benedict offerings. While the café offers classic eggs benedict, some of the more interesting offerings include Moroccan chicken, salmon, portobello mushroom and pork sausage. The café also serves other dishes like omelets and French toast. Brunch isn’t complete without some mimosas, and Blue Fox offers the classic orange mimosa, as well as a mango peach mimosa.

Spinnakers Gastro Pub and Brewhouse

Famous for pioneering Victoria’s craft beer scene and setting a new standard for modern brewpubs, Spinnakers also boasts a great brunch menu. With a tasting board featuring house-made kielbasa, house-smoked salmon, Comox brie, Village Cheese amber ale, fruit preserve and house-made pickles, the options are nearly limitless. The restaurant also offers an array of frittatas, benedicts and delicious breakfast sandwiches.

Jam Café

Get both classic brunch eats and dishes with a twist at this small café. Some of the restaurant’s unique offerings include The Cracker Jack (French toast stuffed with Nutella and fresh banana), pulled pork pancakes with jalapeno sour cream, a vegan bowl, or its famous Later Tater Bowl (tater tots, corn salsa, cheddar, buffalo sauce and chimichurri, topped with two sunny side up eggs and green onions, with the option of either pulled pork or pulled chipotle chicken).

This restaurant uses local, farm-fresh ingredients to create globally inspired small plates. Try the seafood benedict with prawn and smoked salmon okonomiyaki or a croissant melt with bacon, folded eggs, oven-roasted tomatoes, cheddar and tonkatsu sauce. Those with a sweet tooth can opt for the power bowl made with chia pudding, granola, bananas and vanilla yogurt.
