Celebrity Cruises recently announced it’s investing more than $250 million in revamping its Solstice-class ships. The Solstice class includes Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection, all debuted between 2008 and 2012. While the ships were oversized and state-of-the-art for when they initially launched, the renovations will bring the ships up to modern standards, with Celebrity Solstice planned to debut its new features first in 2026.
Changes to the ships will include the addition of new lounges and bars, including the cabaret-inspired Boulevard Lounge and Bar and Celebrity Barcade, a sports bar that also includes classic bar games and retro board games. New restaurants will include the Fine Cut Steakhouse, already a staple among Celebrity’s Edge-class cruise ships, as well as Trattoria Rossa for Italian eats.
Up top, Celebrity Solstice’s top deck will be revamped to include new private cabanas and an expanded bar. The Retreat will also get an upgrade, with the V.I.P. area receiving a new sundeck and enhanced suites. New stateroom categories will also be added to the ships.
“Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising, and now we’re elevating this vacation experience even further by adding brand-new experiences and enhancements at every turn,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president, Celebrity Cruises. “Guests will enjoy more ways to explore and restore, all while staying true to what made our guests fall in love with these ships in the first place.”
