Fans of the new Barbie movie should make tracks for Mexico City, where W Mexico City hosts a limited-time, immersive, Barbie-themed experience through Aug. 20.
The pop-up experience, dubbed “It’s a Barbie World,” is located on the hotel’s first floor and features an installation mimicking the movie’s setting. Photo ops start things off, and then guests are invited to dine on a menu of Barbie-inspired eats, available all day.
A breakfast menu includes items like Rainbow Hot Cakes and Make Waves Salmon Toast. Later, menu items switch to casual lunchtime fare like the Live Your Dream Burger and Shine Quesadilla. Menus also feature pink desserts, such as pink macarons, cake pops, cheesecake and ice cream. (And if you don’t want to just relegate your pink eats to dessert, go for the lunchtime So Cool Pasta, made with pink pasta and served with a side of pink lemonade.)
Tickets for “It’s a Barbie World” must be purchased in advance, and each ticket includes access to the event for 2.5 hours.
This isn’t the first time W Mexico City celebrates the release of a new fan-favorite movie. In 2021, it offered a pop-up Matrix-themed experience, as well.
