If you’re traveling to Puerto Rico soon, consider adding a newly launched rum tour to your itinerary. The new Don Q Rum Tour is available at Museo Castillo Serrallés, a historic Puerto Rican castle dating back more than 150 years.
Learn about Puerto Rico’s rum culture and history on the tour, as well as about Destilería Serrallés, the oldest-operating distillery on the island producing Don Q Rum. Beyond just education, though, the tour also offers some fun, including a mixology workshop and rum tasting. Enjoy tasting rum straight from the barrel as well as rum-based old fashioneds and hand-shaken pina coladas.
Each tour is 90 minutes long and only open to travelers ages 18 and up. Each small tour is likewise only open to a maximum of 15 travelers for a more intimate experience. Tours take place Thursday through Monday at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.
