If you quickly grew tired of hearing about Dry January, but you’re still open to the idea of improving your health, so long as it’s not an all-or-nothing approach, consider a new retreat from FTLO Travel. Designed for the “wellness curious,” this retreat, dubbed the Mindfulness and Margaritas retreat, blends wellness and fun for a perfectly balanced, moderate experience.

Taking place in Oaxaca, Mexico, the retreat begins each day with wellness practices such as meditation or yoga, but then ends each day with more typical, non-wellness-related travel activities like exploring the area, hiking to a petrified waterfall, visiting ancient sites or visiting a distillery.
The retreat is currently available for booking for three sets of dates in 2025: March 12–16, May 22–26 and Oct. 9–13. The retreat starts at $2,499 per person for five days of accommodations, most meals, wellness activities and cultural experiences. Travelers are required to purchase mandatory trip insurance.
Not familiar with the FTLO Travel brand? The trip curator offers group trips and retreats all around the world, with most travelers joining the trips aged 25–39. Most travel solo and then join up with the retreat, which typically includes four–16 travelers total.
