Bogotá has plenty of clubs to satisfy the city’s growing electronic music scene. Here are five of our favorites.

This local gem recently upgraded the sound system for its two rooms, getting Colombia’s first permanent Funktion One installation.

El Coq

El Coq is great if you want to hear a variety of sounds. Bogotá loves house and techno, so come here for electro and offbeat indie music. Another plus is it’s also open until 5 a.m.

Theatron

This sprawling gay club boasts 13 rooms that can fit a total of 6,000 people. The cover charge is about $30, but you get an open bar until 2 a.m. The venue welcomes people of all persuasions, but keep in mind some rooms are gay-only.

Baum

Placing 23rd on DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs list, Baum is considered the best club in Bogotá, hosting parties that run up to 14 hours long. The venue entertains 8,000 people with a tasteful schedule of international DJs. There’s also a barbershop, chill-out area and a drug testing tent for people who want to party safely.

Armando Records

Armando Records is a large yet intimate live music venue that brings an eclectic lineup of artists.
