Concord Celebrates 250th Anniversary of Start of American Revolution

This spring, on April 19, the country recognizes the 250^th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution, and visitors are expected to flock to Concord, Massachusetts. Beat the crowds by making a trip to Concord Museum, which welcomes the occasion with a special Whose Revolution exhibition that goes live in March.

“The excitement surrounding the 250th is undeniably building and we know it all starts in Concord with the ‘shot heard round the world’,” said Lisa Krassner, executive director, Concord Museum. “Our galleries, dramatically transformed during our 2021 renovations, offer an enriching and immersive experience that tells the history of the American Revolution. We are proud to offer unparalleled access to this pivotal moment in our nation’s story and are thrilled to produce some unforgettable events and experiences along the way.”

In April, the museum will extend its 250^th anniversary-related offerings with an April 19, 1775 Exhibit that includes the iconic lantern from Paul Revere’s famous ride; a 1775-themed conference taking place April 10–11, hosted in partnership with David Center for the American Revolution, the American Philosophical Society and the Massachusetts Historical Society; and an April 26 festive celebration commemorating the 250^th anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride.
