Living on your own, away from your parents, is liberating, but some things you have to learn to do on your own. Ordering in every night might sound like the easy fix for meals but you will soon realize ordering from restaurants will kill your paycheck of any extra money after bills. Cooking your own meals also helps keep you healthy as restaurants usually add a lot of unnecessary butter and fats to make foods taste better. Here are some cookbooks for single men to enhance their kitchen skills.

The Single Guy Cookbook

This book sells for around $18 at Barnes and Noble and is a great first cookbook for anyone living on their own. The book has recipes for all occasions, whether you are cooking for just yourself, a date or a whole party.

A Man. A Pan. A Plan

One of Men’s Health’s books, this guide has 100 recipes that only require one pan, making it simple to cook up your favorite meals without too much mess. This book can be found online or at Target for about $11.

What the F*@# Should I Make For Dinner?

This comical book helps you answer the question you ask yourself almost every night. There are 50 recipes to try and reviews say it is funny, condescending and there are plenty of curse words.
