Take a walk on the wild side as you explore the hippos’ den, take a scary bridge over the alligators and roam the open savannah. The Wild Africa Trek in Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers you a chance to go behind the scenes of the Kilimanjaro Safari. This three-hour tour takes you through the homes of all the animals and provides you with more insight.
Before the tour, you will meet your guide, set up with the equipment you need and hear a little more about what you are doing. Once the tour begins you will be taken through the safari learning facts about the animals and park in general. The tour takes you into the hippo exhibit where you experience feeding time, gets you up close and personal with the giraffes and allows you to take in a beautiful view of the elephant den.
All along the tour, your group has a photographer following you around snapping pictures, which are free to download so your memories will never fade.
After your tour is over, enjoy a nice meal of traditional African dishes with wonderful flavor while overlooking the savannah.
