The sprawling Atlantis, The Palm is one of the most interactive resorts in Dubai. They offer a host of hands-on activities, including a giant waterpark, photoshoots with sea lions, diving with sharks in an aquarium and even tours of its very own fish hospital. Some of the most popular activities take place in Dolphin Bay, where guests can meet, swim and play with the well-trained dolphins.
The Dolphin Adventure begins by changing into a full wetsuit and sitting through a 15-minute (painfully boring) orientation. Try and keep your excitement and energy up; the fun really starts once you get past that portion. You’re then divided into groups of six and spread out throughout the manmade bay to meet your dolphin.
Being in the water with a dolphin brings on a childlike sense of joy and wonder. You can’t help but feel animated and excited as you frolic around in the water with the sweet, playful creatures. As part of the Dolphin Adventure, each person gets to hug, be kissed on the cheek, spin around “dancing” and get a belly ride from a dolphin. A photographer comes around to capture the moment, but prepare to shell out some serious cash to get the printed or digital copies.
When all is said and done, the Dolphin Adventure may not be on the top of the sightseeing list, but it is certainly a wholesome activity to escape the infamous Dubai heat and bring out your inner child.

The Spanish region of Galicia sets itself apart for many reasons, like its vistas of the Atlantic from its perch in northwestern Spain right above Portugal. Its cliffs of Cape Finisterre are the end of the world or were thought to be by the Romans. The Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail runs through this region, as well. The landscape is beyond comparison as is the food.
