Kicking off today and running through the weekend, Savannah Book Festival has drawn visitors to the city for nearly 20 years, bringing together communities of readers and writers. The festival offers both free and ticketed events, with ticketed events featuring headliners on Feb. 5, 6 and 8. All day Feb. 7 is devoted to free festival events.
Headliners for this year include Sean Dietrich, Brad Thor with Ward Larsen, and Leigh Bardugo. However, other recognizable names making an appearance at the fest include Sarah Penner, Madeline Martin, Kate Fagan and Stacey Abrams. On Saturday, authors appear individually and on panels throughout Savannah, with venues including Trinity United Methodist Church, Cultural Arts Center and The Savannah Theatre.
Tickets to headliner events are $30. Keep in mind if you would like to have a book signed at the festival, the book must be purchased at the festival. Also, consider downloading the Savannah Book Festival app before you head out on Saturday, as it will notify you if free events have reached capacity, or if lines are likewise at maximum capacity.
