The urban chic hotel is the perfect medium between Hollywood hip and corporate cool. Dream Hollywood welcomes you upon arrival with an open glass entryway, showcasing a structured, organically lush lobby atmosphere filled with modern art and a lobby lounge bar that transforms for a morning cup of coffee or a post-work cocktail. Upon check-in with the extremely helpful and courteous staff, I made my way to the elevators and up to my room, enjoying the artwork on the way.
Each floor of the property has calming, dimmed lighting to encourage a peaceful walk to your room. The room itself instantly had me say, “Wow.” Many rooms, including mine, offer a full floor-to-ceiling window with the view of Hollywood outside. I happened to enter my room during the “golden hour,” which offered a lovely pink and orange California sunset. The room was equipped with every modern convenience necessary to stay connected while on a business trip, but offered modern sleek furnishings for a fun and fashionable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious linens. There was a minibar packed with any essentials one may need for a nightcap and the spacious restroom, stocked with Co. Bigelow bath products, offered the perfect tools to head out the door looking red carpet ready!
This property offers guests the opportunity to utilize one location for all their needs. If you are looking for nightlife and a club atmosphere, Avenue is the spot to go. It even has an exit that leads through to the pizza parlor on premises, LUCHINI PIZZERIA & BAR. If something a bit more refined, trendy and elegant meets your needs, the Beauty & Essex Restaurant along with the Tao Asian Bistro will surely be a crowd-pleaser. Want a view without leaving the property? The Highlight Room is an amazing rooftop bar and lounge, poolside on the roof of the hotel. I ventured up there with my friend who lives in the area and she enjoyed the customized cocktails and superb views.
The hotel has a custom-designed gym by trainer to the stars, Gunnar Peterson. He personally curated each piece put into this gym.

Singapore is known for being on the cutting edge of many industries, so it can be strange for foreigners to group the city-state with developing Southeast Asian nations like Thailand, Cambodia or Vietnam. But the multicultural hub represents diverse nationalities and religions, and knowing as much as possible before visiting Singapore can help you prevent any faux pas. Here are a few things you shouldn’t do when visiting Singapore.
For most of us, time in the car is “me time.” You can listen to that podcast you’re captivated by, blast that pop song and sing along at the top of your lungs or listen to the next chapter in that biography e-book you’re almost finished. A road trip only amplifies those opportunities. So, next time you’re traveling by road, take the wheel and take control. Opt for a rental car on your next vacation, rather than a rideshare, taxi or public transportation, and enjoy the open road on your own terms.
