El Patio de Café Milagro comes highly recommended by both tourists and locals in Manuel Antonio, so during my latest visit I had to stop in and give it a try. While I wish I could have also sampled the popular breakfast menu, I found the dinner options top-notch.
The restaurant itself is located on a busy street, but offers beautiful garden seating on the back patio for anyone wanting to escape the noise. The staff was incredibly friendly and happy to offer suggestions on what to try. I opted for the pork tenderloin with mashed sweet plantains and green papaya. It was one of the best things I tasted while in Costa Rica. Since the restaurant is famous for its expertly crafted coffee, I also ordered a Tico Blanco that was pretty divine.
Though I was too stuffed to try anything else, there were loads of delicious-looking and -smelling things coming out of the kitchen. The service was quick, the food cooked to perfection and the location excellent. I look forward to returning to El Patio de Café Milagro on my next visit to Manuel Antonio and highly recommend trying it.
