Stock up with an accessory that can keep you cool or warm, depending on your body temperature. The Embr Wave, developed by MIT scientists, uses the sensitive skin on your wrist to help determine the most comfortable temperature.

Using the magnetic Milanese loop band, the Embr fits nearly any size wrist, conforming to your body’s shape. Using a rechargeable lithium battery, the Embr can last two–three days before needing a recharge.

When you start feeling a bit too cold or too hot, simply press down on the Wave’s Light Bar. Hold the bar to activate the wave of cooling or heating temperature to your wrist. Temperatures resemble the feeling of a warm cup in your hands to an ice cube on your wrist — perfect for traveling in fickle-climate regions.

By utilizing the sensitive nerves on your wrist as a temperature base, the warming and cooling sensations kicks on your body’s natural response to cool or warm you — the entire process just takes a few minutes.

Embr Wave is currently only available in Canada and the United States, priced at $300 per bracelet. Read more about how it works, the science of the body and the researchers who developed it.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
