Empower Cocktails hopes to overcome what it feels is a “man-centric” market. A new brand started by a family-owned farm in Northern California, it just released its first bottled cocktail, Empower Cosmopolitan Martini, made from sweet potato vodka, triple sec, white cranberry and lime. The 25-proof cocktail is 80 calories per 3 ounces.
Empower Cocktails was founded by a former spirit conglomerate lawyer, who found the industry lacking in spirits that celebrate and honor women while catering to their distinct tastes.
“I didn’t always think I’d become a cocktail entrepreneur, but in my extensive career, I’ve always wanted to create a platform to empower women and elevating women to succeed,” said Tiffany Hall, founder. “Empower Cocktails has become a way for me to continue doing that work, in a way that also encourages women to come together, pop open a bottle and celebrate each other.”
Additionally, Empower Cocktails partners with various nonprofits with a female focus, including the Voss Foundation, Kicked it in Heels, the Metro-Manhattan Community Foundation and Dress for Success Boston.
Empower Cocktails is currently selling its Empower Cosmopolitan Martini online for $22, or at stores in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
