No matter the season, The Lake House on Canandaigua offers a variety of experiences and wellness adventures. In winter, guests can take advantage of on-site activities and experiences in and around the Finger Lakes region.
First up at the hotel is “snowga.” What is snowga, you ask? It’s a cold-weather take on yoga, with ski poles and snowshoes used as props during the 30-minute class. After participating at the hotel, incorporate the activity into hikes around Sonnenberg Gardens or Bare Hill Nature Reserve.
Also available at Sonnenberg, as well as at Cummings Nature Center, is snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. At Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, try your hand at alpine skiing. Links at Greystone converted its golf course into a 10-lane, 1,000-foot-long snow tubing run, open Thursday–Sunday with reservations required for two-hour sessions.
Back at The Lake House on Canandaigua, complimentary activities include snowman kits, available at the front desk, and snowshoes and sleds can be signed out for the day.
