Staying fit while traveling can be a challenge. Whether your trip is for business or leisure, squeezing in a workout during your busy schedule can seem almost impossible. Luckily, there are plenty of exercise opportunities you can accomplish from your hotel room.
Use the Room
Utilize things around the room to help your workout. Chairs or the arm of a couch make great tools for exercises like leg lifts, incline push-ups and tricep dips. Cozy up to the wall for wall sits. If you want to venture beyond your hotel room walls, head to the stairs and walk up and down a few flights to get your sweat on.
No Equipment Options
There are plenty of exercises that require no equipment at all. Planks, push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, squats, mountain climbers and burpees are all great options to do rounds of, whether you have a few minutes or an extended period of time. Set a timer on your phone or just count it out yourself.
Check out these routines from Shape and Livestrong, so you won’t need to craft your own workout.
Apps
If you prefer to follow along with a set routine, download some workout apps. Sworkit, Pocket Yoga and 7 Minute Workout are all great options to customize to your needs.
