Arctic Adventures recently launched Crevasse Labyrinth: A Glacier Maze in Skaftafell, a new tour where travelers can explore Vatnajökull’s icy corridors. This exclusive adventure is available to book year-round and gives small groups a chance to discover a side of the glacier most never see. Experience a maze of crevasses and glowing blue ice passages.
This new tour takes travelers into the largest glacier in Europe through the Crevasse Track, a path created by Arctic Adventures to highlight the glacier’s twisting cracks, narrow paths and deep crevasses shaped by years of shifting ice. This allows travelers a safe and accessible way to explore the frozen world.
Here’s what else to expect from the tour:
- Exclusive Trail Access: Not many people have access to the Crevasse Track, only known to local guides from Arctic Adventures
- Immersive Ice Experience: Walk through blue ice passages and giant frozen ice walls
- Beginner-Friendly Glacier Hike: Whether you have a ton of experience or not, this glacier hike is for you. Travelers will also get safety gear and be led by an expert guide.
- Small Groups: The tour is limited to small groups to provide a personal and immersive experience.
Guests begin the tour at Arctic Adventures Booking Center in Skaftafell, where they will receive safety gear such as crampons, ice axes, helmets and tips on how to stay safe. The hike itself will last between 1.5 and two hours on the ice, providing time for photographs, glacier facts and more.
