Reviews / Hotel

The south coast of England boasts many attractions and the spectacular Jurassic Coast in Dorset is chief among them.

Set just down the coast from the town of Weymouth, Eype is a small village that has a great beach. Eype House Caravan & Camping Park is one of the few places to stay in the area, sitting right on the cliff looking down over the water. It’s a great spot for a relaxing few days in the summer, barbecuing on the beach and listening to the sound of the waves.

You can either bring your own tent and equipment or hire one of the static caravans. We stayed in a four-person caravan that was clean and spacious enough, and came with a good amount of extra bedding to deal with the cold nights. Even in summer the mercury plummets after dark, and you’ll be glad of the big blankets.

Eype itself is a nice little place with a good pub where you can eat and drink if you don’t want to cook yourself. There is also a small café in the caravan park, popular with visitors.

Three nights in the caravan cost $130, a real bargain if you fill all four beds.

United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.

How to Explore Neuschwanstein Castle

Most people know Neuschwanstein Castle as Walt Disney’s inspiration for both Cinderella’s and Sleeping Beauty’s castles, but it is also filled with history and stories from German royalty. In 1868, King Ludwig II began construction of the medieval-style castle to live in. Sadly, it wasn’t finished before he died, so the king never got to see the finished product. Today, the castle is privately owned, but travelers can still explore it on a guided audio tour.

United Continues Its Global Expansion

United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network. The airline added new non-stop flights between Newark (EWR) and Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco; Tokyo (NRT) and Cebu (CEB), Philippines; and Houston (IAH) and Medellin (MDE), Colombia. That’s not all: United also plans to increase flights to popular worldwide destinations including Hong Kong (HKG); Seoul (INC), South Korea; and Porto (OPO), Portugal. Following the recent agreement to increase flights between the U.S. and Chinese governments, the airline now adds four weekly flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Shanghai (PVG).
