Products / Other

In recent years companies dedicated to women’s health have come up with new products for women to try during their menstrual cycle. Pads and tampons are still widely used, but some are looking at alternatives and trying to find something that suits their lifestyle better. The classic products are not always comfortable and add to trash that isn’t biodegradable. Sometimes a menstrual cycle makes women feel limited in the activities they can partake in. Some women don’t go swimming or have sex and in extreme cases don’t go to school. Thankfully, the alternatives entering the market are giving women hope they can live their lives fully no matter what day of the month.

The FLEX Company sells a menstrual disc as an alternative to pads and tampons. This disc is advertised as making the experience of a period easier and smoother. The creators claim women can enjoy any activity while using this product with no worries of leaks. The discs can last for up to 12 hours so there’s less trips to the bathroom throughout the day. The reviews found all over the internet echo the same claims the website states. Users found this disc is changing the way they spend their menstrual cycle.

The website is helpful for potential buyers. There are in-depth diagrams explaining how to insert the disc and how to take it out. Buyers can also fill out a questionnaire which helps the website determine how many discs they need to last the full duration.
