Bucks County has plenty of history and activities to explore, but if you are in town and looking for something fun to do, check out the Bucks County Ale Trail. Once a year, Bucks County breweries participate in the Bucks County Ale Trail. Guests can download a virtual passport from visitbuckscounty.com. This passport allows visitors to check-in at breweries to earn points toward a free t-shirt. You may even find your new favorite beer or brewery.
To complete the trail, you must check in at five different breweries. Once you order a drink, tell the bartender you are on the ale trail. The bartender will then input the special code designated for that brewery into your ale trail app.
There are 30 breweries to visit, so you may not know where to start. Some of the must-visit destinations on the list are Vault Brewing Co., Newtown Brewing Co., Free Will Brewing Company in Peddler’s Village and Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company. The atmosphere at these breweries are fun, energetic and welcoming.
The breweries aren’t close together, so you don’t have to do them all in one day. While on the trail, don’t forget to eat; some of the breweries are restaurants and offer food. The digital passport offers coupons and discounts to some of the restaurants.
