Something with the word “lodge” in the name may not sound like a summer destination, but Great Wolf Lodge has a little something up its sleeve. The rustic-meets-comfort look may say winter, but the lodge’s lineup of summer camp activities say something else.

The Summer Camp In series welcomes guests of all ages, families and friends, to enjoy pool parties, barbecue dinners, campfire ceremonies with dancing and s’mores and fun summer-themed rooms.

Great Wolf Lodge has all sorts of activities, including arts and craft, keeping the kids occupied and having fun. The Summer Camp In package is available through Sept. 2. If the themed fun isn’t really your style, no worries, the lodge resort also has activities and attractions for the older crowd without kids in tow. With an epic indoor water park, you can boogie board, surf and cool off through thousands of square feet of aqua-centric fun.

Begin your day with a workout in the pool, plan for daily yoga sessions or head to the arcade for some throwback fun. There are even adults-only events like Wine Down where you can relax.

With 17 resort locations across North America, finding a Great Wolf Lodge to enjoy is just a matter of deciding how far you want to travel.

Products That Help You Sleep While Traveling

You've planned every last detail of your trip, from the perfect accommodations to tours to enjoy, but overlooked one crucial element: sleep. Travel and time changes throw off our circadian rhythms and lead to sleep loss. However, sleep deprivation can dull your response time, throw you into a depression, age your skin and pack on the pounds. It also just makes you irritable during much-deserved vacation time. Although you may not be able to restore your sleep to its full capacity on the road, you can get more rest with these products that help you sleep while traveling.

Enjoy the Open Road on Your Terms

For most of us, time in the car is “me time.” You can listen to that podcast you’re captivated by, blast that pop song and sing along at the top of your lungs or listen to the next chapter in that biography e-book you’re almost finished. A road trip only amplifies those opportunities. So, next time you’re traveling by road, take the wheel and take control. Opt for a rental car on your next vacation, rather than a rideshare, taxi or public transportation, and enjoy the open road on your own terms.

Safest Russian Cities

Russia is largely a safe city for tourists. Much of the country relies on tourism to bolster the economy, and local governments take great pains to ensure safety for foreign citizens. Crimes against locals and foreigners drastically reduced over the last decade. That’s not to say certain minorities shouldn’t take precaution, but the chance of getting accosted walking down the streets is pretty slim.
