There are many wonderful things about Bali, but the majority of people that travel there will say all the best things to do are outdoors. Bali is a great island for anyone looking to get in touch with nature and explore. There are ocean views to see, lush rainforests to walk through and many fantastic places to go hiking.
Many travelers who visited Bali before will recommend hiking to the Sekumpul Waterfalls. This hike will give travelers access to seven different waterfalls, all in close proximity to each other. Part of the hike includes walking down a stone staircase, challenging at time,s but it’s well worth the walk. The hike is quite popular with tourists and well-marked to keep people safe and on the right path. Not all paths are marked in Bali and sometimes it’s better to hire a guide than to hike through an unfamiliar rainforest.
Another popular hike in Bali is the walk to Mount Batur. It’s the second-highest peak on the island and gives amazing views of the surrounding area. The mountain is visible from nearby towns and travelers can usually find a guide to help them stay on the correct path. It’s about a two-hour climb to the summit and the best times to climb are during sunset and sunrise to take in all the beauty.
The hike through Mount Lesung is a walk through a picturesque rainforest. At the top of the hike, travelers get a great view of the volcano’s crater and the Munduk Valley.
