Destinations / North America

If you are a history buff, Philadelphia is a good place for you. There are so many historic hot spots to hit while in town. Although there are plenty of guided tours offered in the city, sometimes it’s best to take a self-guided one. Here are some of the best spots to visit

One of the most popular tourist locations in Philadelphia is the Liberty Bell. Located in the Historic District of Philadelphia, learn the story, meaning and history behind it all on a walk through tour.

Take a tour of Betsy Ross’s house and learn more about the making of the first American Flag. On the visit, you can even meet Betsy Ross herself. While there, make sure you stick around and learn a little more about Betsy Ross and her life.

Visit the birthplace of America and take a tour through Independence Hall. On this tour, see the room where the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were signed. The tour normally only goes through the first floor, but if you visit in January or February you might be lucky enough to tour the second.

The Rocky movies were based in Philadelphia. On your visit, recreate the iconic scene and run up the Art Museum steps just like Rocky did. If you aren’t too tired and canmake it back down, take some pictures with the Rocky statue located at the bottom of the steps.

If you have enough time and are willing to take a little trip, Washington’s Crossing is located right outside of Philadelphia in Bucks County. Walk along the Delaware River and see the exact spot where George Washington crossed the Delaware. You can also get a glimpse at what life and houses looked like back then.

How To Handle a Negative Airbnb Experience

Airbnb is one of the most frequently used online platforms to book vacation accommodations, but there have been a few occasions when Airbnb customers have been stuck with a rental property nothing like the Airbnb ad presented, which definitely causes a vacation to get off on the wrong foot. If you’re faced with a less-than-satisfactory or what seems to be a fraudulent Airbnb property, here are the steps you should take to get your vacation back on track.

Jet Charter Services for Leisure Travel

Once reserved for elite travelers, the accessibility of private jet experiences is on the rise. Just like ride-sharing and home-sharing options including Uber and Airbnb, jet startups are also adopting the idea of pooling resources. Instead of splurging on first-class seats at a premium price tag, travelers can snag a seat in a private jet for about 50 percent more, depending on the location.

Pack Your Bags, You’re Going to Tokyo!
