The words “honeymoon” and “Seychelles” should be synonymous. The picturesque islands off the coast of East Africa are a newlywed couples paradise. North Island, a resort nestled on one of the only private islands in the Seychelles, has won awards in every major luxury publication from Robb Report and Travel + Leisure to National Geographic and Vogue.
The 5-star resort has it all: extreme privacy, white-sand beaches, supreme service, natural surrounding beauty, a world-class spa, refined dining and a plethora of romantic activities. North Island has an extensive (and secretive) guest list of celebrities and powerful clientele constantly rotating through the property. In fact, Prince William and Duchess Kate honeymooned at the resort after the royal wedding in 2011.
Guests are able to take a helicopter to arrive on the island, where the general manager will great you in person to show you to your villa and hand over the keys to a golf cart to use for the duration of your stay. There are only 11 villas in the resort, ensuring a degree of discretion difficult to find at most resorts around the world. Each villa is assigned a personal butler to cater to your every whim during your stay.
All experiences on the island are completely customizable. Popular honeymoon activities include private dining on the beach, a full day of pampering at the spa, sunset cruising on the resort’s boat around the island, a picnic at Honeymoon Beach, sunrise yoga on the mountainside and many more romantic experiences.
