From theme park celebrations to immersive haunting experiences, there’s a little bit of everything for Halloween lovers in Orlando this year.
For the classic theme park Halloween event, with either a little or a lot of spooks and scares, go to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, through Oct. 31, for a kid-friendly affair. For something a little spookier, try Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights, running through Nov. 3.
Fan of all things vamps? Renaissance Theatre Company is offering a 90-minute “horror experience” featuring more than 30 vampire actors and following a Nosferatu theme. Grab your tickets through Nov. 10.
For scares with a drink or two (maybe you need the liquid courage), make tracks for Cocktails and Screams, a Halloween-themed bar in downtown open year-round but where things obviously heat up as we near the big day. Check the bar’s calendar for special events like Halloween movie-themed brunches and magic shows, or just show up for live music and cocktails any day.
If you’re interested in a bar experience and are in town for select dates (Oct. 25, 26 and 31), join the Orlando Zombie and Halloween Crawls, which also take place in downtown. The event offers drink specials, a costume contest, and access to more than 10 bars and clubs.
