Just a short distance from Charlotte, Cabarrus County awaits with a bevy of fun holiday activities. However, the highlight event of the season is Speedway Christmas, which takes place at the destination’s Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Featuring more than 5 million lights, the event runs from Nov. 22, 2024, to Jan. 5, 2025. The main attraction is, of course, the Four Miles of Holiday Cheer, wherein guests drive through millions of light displays scattered across a 4-mile driving course.
For those who want to stretch their legs, though, the Candy Winter Wonderland Walking Trail in the speedway’s infield offers new and favorite features, including a 70-foot-tall Christmas tree, snow machines, photo ops, and beverages and treats. The infield will also feature a Christmas Village open select dates throughout the season, with Santa, live music, pony rides, bonfires and more.
