Immerse Yourself in the World of Rugby at a New Experience in Limerick

Are you an avid follower of rugby? You know, the sport where players are often seen in mass huddles while trying to barge their way across a line of opponents. Now, rugby fans visiting Ireland can enjoy a world-class, fully interactive experience celebrating all things rugby.

At International Rugby Experience, located in Limerick, visitors can wander through six zones with different features and stories detailing the world of rugby. In the first zone, visitors enter the “dressing room,” waiting for the countdown to kick-off. Pre-match excitement and scenes from legendary moments from the sport appear across the walls. The second space delves into the grassroots of rugby, telling stories of amateur rugby clubs across the world. Visitors will hear inspirational stories along the way.

Want to try your hand at the sport? You can do just that in the third space, in which four interactives allow visitors to compete against one another. Here, visitors learn about kicking, passing, running and tackling — the essentials of the game. This section also allows visitors to learn about the laws of rugby as explained by a well-known referee.

The fourth zone explores team dynamics, professional rugby clubs around the world and the supporters and fans who make each club possible. This section features a large-scale, interactive component showing team moves and set plays. Visitors here can test their skills and understand the importance of leadership and team spirit.

The final two zones look at Legendary Nations, in which an immersive projection show displays the power of respect in the game, as well as the emblems, colors and fun facts of the sport. The journey ends on the sixth floor with beautiful views of the heart of Limerick. Here, visitors stand among life-sized, legendary players who possess the five values emphasized throughout the experience. This zone includes players’ career achievements, testimonies and quotes.

International Rugby Experience requires ticket purchases to enter, bookable here. The space also includes a café offering light bites and coffee, as well as a store selling rugby-inspired items, branded clothing and local goods.
