Kamalame Cay Private Island Resort in the Bahamas closes out its 2021/2022 season with three new Chef’s Table series. The culinary events, celebrating the best of the Bahamas, are open to locals and guests with an advance reservation.
Ocean-to-Table Lunch
Held every Wednesday during the season, the lunch is held at a communal table set on the beach. The chef highlights the best seasonal seafood, including fish, lobster, shrimp, crab and conch. Ingredients from local farmers, foragers, bakers and artisans round out the menu. Dishes are paired with specialty cocktails and a selection of wine. Each luncheon is open to 40 maximum guests.
Farm-to-Table Luncheon Pop-Up
Held the first Saturday of each month, the luncheon is exclusive to 30 maximum diners. The luncheon takes places on a 100-acre coconut farm on the adjacent Andros Island, which serves as home to the resort’s organic garden and free-range chicken farm. The menu features local poultry, eggs, meat, seasonal herbs, fruit and vegetables. Specialty cocktails and wine are also available.
Summer Full Moon Dinner
During each full moon of the season, the progressive dinner brings guests to different locations across the Cay for each course. The meal concludes on the beach at the resort’s new Sugarcane beachside dining venue for dessert and a bonfire. The dinner is open to 30 people maximum.
Kamalame Cay Private Island Resort’s 2021/2022 season ends Aug. 31. The resort reopens for its 2022/2023 season Nov. 1.
