My husband and I arrived to Kenwood Inn & Spa about an hour before check-in time and luckily our room was ready. The front desk attendant asked if we need assistance with our luggage, then escorted us to our room. Along the way, she pointed out the rooms past the lobby where the daily complimentary breakfast is served, as well as complimentary wine tastings. I enjoyed a glass of welcome Champagne as we made our way to the room.
Our garden king room was located a few steps from the outdoor pool and hot tub. There was a small patio table and chairs outside our room, where we sat to take in the views. The room boasted a comfortable king bed, two plush chairs and a small table, fireplace, large armoire, two nightstands, coffeemaker and radio. The bathroom featured a stand-alone shower. The layout of the rustic property felt more as though we were staying at a Mediterranean villa, and not a hotel in California.
During our stay, we took advantage of the complimentary breakfast, which included an assortment of hot and cold items. We also enjoyed a wine tasting one evening and the complimentary port for guests in the hotel lobby. The pool was the perfect relief from the hot weather. After taking a dip, we read and relaxed on the lounge chairs.
The location is ideal for anyone visiting Sonoma County. The property is a short drive from numerous wineries, restaurants and parks. Kenwood Inn & Spa is a perfect property for a luxurious stay in Sonoma County.
