There are dozens of ways to make your own toiletries travel kit, but doing so can run the risk of forgetting what color plastic bottle has which liquid inside, and completely rinsing out the bottles can take time and waste precious product. Instead, pre-made toiletry kits are the easier, more convenient way to pack your beauty essentials in easy-to-identify bottles.

Beauty brand Le Labo sells a body and hair travel set of toiletry items made as carefully and delicately as all its products. Sold on Net-a-Porter, the products are infused with plant-based ingredients with a touch of Hinoki fragrance, a sacred Japanese wood used to make shrines in Japan.

The TSA-approved bottles are tucked into a canvas pouch and include the following products: a sunflower oil-enriched shower gel with sesame oil and rosemary extract; a softening shampoo with macadamia, rosemary leaf and rice, ingredients that stimulate hair growth; a moisturizing conditioner that repairs hair with avocado and coconut oils; and a lush body lotion with avocado, almond and coconut oils to moisturize the skin.

The kit can be purchased on Net-a-Porter for $46.

Taking It Back to Basics at Ghent’s Gruut Brewery

Breweries are everywhere today and, while many craft and microbreweries specialize in particular styles of beer, few are quite as specialized as Ghent Gruut Brewery in Ghent, Belgium. Here, the current craze for hop-heavy India Pale Ales is entirely eschewed as absolutely no hops at all are used in the brewing process. Before you clamor to claim this can’t be beer at all as everyone knows the four ingredients of beer are grain, water, yeast, and hops, consider hops weren’t actually added to beer until the 13th century. Before then, all beers were flavored with herbs and spices, or gruut, as the French population of medieval Ghent called them.
