LGBTQ+ Travel in Pamalican Island, Philippines

Pamalican Island is arguably the most VIP island resort on Earth. Frequented by the likes of Brad Pitt and Beyonce, the luxurious getaway has plenty to offer LGBTQ+ travelers who love a little glitz and glam. Be warned, a trip here is not cheap by any means.

Case in point, the only way to reach the island is via private jet. Amanpulo, the island’s resort, has its own jet that shuttles up to 12 visitors at a time. Of course, you can always use your own if you have it.

Once on the island you’ll find 1.5 miles of scenic views and private cabanas to explore. The resort also features a lagoon bar, spa, clubhouse and a beach bar. You can also choose a private villa if you’ve got millions to spare. The more affordable beach casitas boast outdoor showers, wooden decks and garden hammocks. Each guest also receives a designated assistant to attend to your every need. Though the island is small, you can go hours on end without seeing another guest on your private spot of the beach.

Like any beach, there is plenty of windsurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking to enjoy. Snorkeling and diving are popular endeavors thanks to routinely calm waters. The daily snorkeling trips are free. While there isn’t much in the way of restaurants or shopping — everything on the island is part of the resort — there are few places to visit that promise both luxury and privacy.

The Philippines aren’t exactly known for progressive politics, but rest assured you won’t find any resistance as a LGBTQ+ traveler here. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime splurge, Pamalican Island is certainly worth a peek.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
