Manayunk Brewing Company is situated along the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia’s Manayunk neighborhood. My husband and I spent the morning hiking at the nearby Wissahickon Valley Park, then made our way to the brewery and restaurant for lunch.
Parking can be tricky in Manayunk, but thankfully there is a lot next to the brewery with $10 parking. After we parked, we made our way in. There were plenty of tables open and we decided to sit on the covered patio to enjoy a little fresh air. Shortly after we were seated, our waitress came over to take our orders. The rotating tap list still featured some of the summer beers during our visit. I enjoyed a small pour each of a cucumber melon gose and a blackberry gose.
To start, we split nachos. We added chicken to the simple starter of tortilla chips, cheese, pickled jalapeños, pico de gallo and sour cream. The nachos came out quickly and we devoured them. We each ordered the brew house Caesar with chicken. The salad was topped with cherry tomatoes, croutons and shaved Parmesan cheese. We both asked for the dressing on the side and it arrived mixed in with the salad but with extra on the side. The dressing was delicious but very garlicky.
Our waitress was attentive but not pushy during our lunch, checking in on our drinks and refilling our waters.
Manayunk Brewing Company is a solid spot in Manayunk for a meal and a beer.
